For over 30 years Andy has been the voice of multiple sporting events around the state of Iowa. What started as a dream at Aplington-Parkersburg High School with 104.9 KLMJ continued at Wartburg College where he played football and sang around the world with the Wartburg Choir.
Since 2003 Andy and his wife, Jessica, along with their 4 daughters have called Ankeny home. Together now they help share the hard work of our area athletes with hundreds of thousands of fans each year through the regular season and state tournaments with the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
With the experience coaching 9 State Champion football teams, Andy brings the unique perspective of a 20 year coach, father, and advocate for youth activities to every event he covers. His passion for sports, storytelling and community engagement has made him a recognizable voice throughout Iowa's prep sports landscape. Now with an exclusive partnership with Ankeny Schools, let Girl Dad Media show you how you can support our student-athletes in Central Iowa and get your business seen over and over and over again.
“Andy’s devotion to featuring high school athletes in Central Iowa has made him a huge asset to our local media. His knowledge as a father, coach and broadcaster makes him a trusted source for positive stories featuring area student-athletes.”
"Andy has been a consistent advocate for both Activities Departments with the Ankeny Community School District. Andy and his team take ideas and make them a reality. Whether it be live streaming events, bridging business sponsor opportunities, or helping create a more streamlined marketing plan. He has been receptive to ideas, and is conscientious about relationships. Andy fosters collaboration, teamwork, and a "better together" approach."
“At Karl Chevrolet, we’ve truly enjoyed our partnership with Centennial Digital and the Ankeny Athletics Network. They do an exceptional job showcasing Ankeny athletics while creating meaningful opportunities for local businesses to connect with the community.”
“It means a lot to hear from families who’ve been able to watch their kids compete from afar. That’s exactly why I wanted to support this—so no one has to miss those moments.”
Real estate has always been about more than transactions for me—it’s about investing in the community I call home. Supporting Ankeny athletics is one of the ways I get to give back to the families who make this such a special place to live."
"The Ankeny Activities Network has been the online streaming platform for Ankeny High School Athletic events for the past few years and is run by GirlDad Media. This has raised the profile of our athletes and programs at Ankeny High School and Centennial Digital has done the same for Centennial High School. The GirlDad Media company researches the teams and players to best present them to the public while family and friends have the opportunity to watch our student-athletes from across the country. We are fortunate to have partnered with GirDad Media and look forward to continuing to work for the best programming for our kids. "
